It’s been a year or more (I think) when I dined at Belgian Café. Stepping in for the first time in this newly revamped restaurant, it still is a cozy and perfect place to end a long day. Located inside InterContinental Doha, this relaxing place is suitable to experience Belgian cuisine and drinks with views of the Doha skyline from their extensive terrace. What makes it more delightful is that their ultimate winter indulgence is back this whole month of February! See why you shouldn’t be missing this cheesy goodness!
What they served:
Vegetable and Blue cheese quiche. It’s good but the blue cheese is quite strong for me.
Sweet dreams are made of cheese! This pot consists of three types of melted cheese (Emmental, Gouda and Parmensan) served with gherkins, silver onions, beef and chicken ham, poached pear and breads. A FONDUE-ful goodness that will warm you up from the inside.
Tartiflette, a staple French dish made with potatoes, Reblochon cheese, lardons and onions. Since lardons aren’t available here, it was served with beef bacon instead. It’s cheesy and warming, an ultimate comfort food on a winter day. I could eat this everyday! 😀
Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Blue Cheese Sauce served with a side salad. The sauce truly compliments the meat cooked to perfection.
The night ended with a dessert that will melt any chocolate lover’s heart. This chocolate fondue is typically served with fruits and other dunkables like marshmallows, waffles and biscuits.
These warm and hearty dishes are perfect to pair with their famous Belgian hops or a pot of warm tea.
QAR 200 – 300 (good for 3-4 people)
NOTE: Belgian Café cheese specials runs until February 28, 2018.
